Local Branch of Large Plant Does Volunteer Gardening Project for MHDS
Volunteers from Lyondell-Basell, a plant located here in Jackson, spent the day planting trees and building a pergola as part of their 16th annual Global Care Day on September 19, 2015. About 30 employees and their family members came out to participate in the day of volunteerism and community strengthening.
LyondellBasell’s Jackson Plant is a polypropylene compounding facility. The plant combines polypropylene resin with other materials to enhance their physical properties and prepare them for use in consumer goods, such as interior and exterior automotive parts and home appliances.
The company has a strong commitment to social responsibility, including community outreach and caring for the environment. This project with and for MHDS allows them to touch on both of those social responsibilities at the same time.
